Query
Farmer wants to know about ginger cultivation and also her ginger also got affected with soft rot during her previous cultivation and for that she faced loss, so wants solution to that too.
KCC answer
Before planting ginger rhizome do seed treatment with bavistin or mancozeb for 30 minutes and aslo do soil solarization for 45-50 days and aslo can add neem cake to the soil before sowing, in later condition if the rot symptoms are noticable apply mancozeb(0.3%) or phexaconazole (0.1%), propiconazole (0.1%) or carbendazim + mancozeb at an interval of 20 days.
