Description
The scheme “Uchcha Shiksha Protsahan Chhatravriti Yojana” was launched by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote higher education among meritorious students by providing financial support to regular undergraduate and postgraduate students in government colleges and state universities of Uttarakhand.

Benefits
• Under the scheme, scholarships ranging from a minimum of ₹1,500/- to a maximum of ₹60,000/- are awarded to students who secure first, second, and third positions in each faculty at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The student must be studying in a Government College or State University campus of Uttarakhand.
2. At each college/campus level (per faculty):

4. **First-year students:** Monthly scholarships of ₹3,000/-, ₹2,000/-, and ₹1,500/- will be awarded to students securing first, second, and third positions, respectively, based on a minimum of 80% marks or equivalent grade in the 12th examination. 1. **Second- and third-year students:** Monthly scholarships of ₹3,000/-, ₹2,000/-, and ₹1,500/- will be awarded to students securing first, second, and third positions, respectively, based on a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in the previous year’s examination. 1. **Graduation-level examination toppers:** Students securing first, second, and third positions based on a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in the first-year examination will be awarded a lump-sum scholarship of ₹35,000/-, ₹25,000/-, and ₹20,000/-, respectively.

First, second, and third position holders will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹60,000/-, ₹35,000/-, and ₹25,000/-, respectively.

10. Marks obtained after improvement tests will not be considered for scholarship calculation.
