Description
The scheme “Fish Seed Rearing by Women” is a component under the “To Increase Fish Seed Production and Inland Fisheries Resources in Tribal Areas” scheme, introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to increase fish production through inland fisheries and provide employment opportunities, particularly to Scheduled Tribe women engaged in fish seed rearing. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided for fish seed rearing activities to women involved in inland fisheries. Objectives: - To increase fish production by rearing fish in reservoirs and provide employment to people involved in inland fisheries activities. - To boost fish farming or fishing activities in freshwater bodies. - Fishing in reservoirs, aquaculture in ponds, and catch from rivers increase fish production and boost inland fisheries. - The main objective is to provide employment opportunities to Scheduled Tribe fishermen in the state and increase fish production.

2. The applicant must be an Individual woman involved in inland fisheries activities.
3. The applicant must be from the Scheduled Tribe.
4. The applicant must be above 18 years.
5. The beneficiary fisherwoman must have her own bank account.
6. The applicant must have an Aadhar Card/Voter ID/Ration Card/Passport as proof of identity.
