Description
The 'Special Incentive to OBC Meritorious Students Boys & Girls ' scheme, administered by the Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Government of Assam, provides financial assistance to deserving Other Backward Classes OBC students. Eligibility is extended to those who have achieved 80% or higher marks in the HSSLC examination. The scheme's objective is to motivate and encourage OBC students to pursue higher education, thereby fostering their academic parity with the broader population through a substantial incentive. Assistance is contingent upon the applicant satisfying the stipulated eligibility criteria and the successful submission of required documentation. An incentive of up to ₹10,000/- will be disbursed to students as approved by the Selection Committee. The applications will be accepted through the myScheme platform from 04/07/2025 to 31/10/2025. 1. - The applicant must be currently enrolled as a student.
2. - The applicant must belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) community of Assam.
3. - The applicant must have secured a minimum of 80% marks in the HSSLC examination held in 2025.
4. - The annual income of the applicant&#39;s parents/guardians must not exceed ₹5,00,000/-.
5. _*In instances where multiple applicants achieve an identical percentage in the HSSLC examination, preference will be given to those with a higher percentage in the HSLC examination._
