Description
The "Scheme to Encourage the Children of Sanitation Workers Who Have Passed the Class 10/12 Examination" is implemented by the Gujarat Safai Kamdar Vikas Nigam GSKVN under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. This scheme has been in operation since the year 2012-13. The objective of the scheme is to promote and encourage the academic excellence of children of sanitation workers who have passed the Class 10 or Class 12 board examinations with top ranks. Under this scheme, students securing first, second, or third rank in the board examinations General and Science streams across the state are awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.
2. The applicant should be a student.
3. The applicant should be a child of a sanitation worker engaged in scavenging activities.
4. The applicant should have passed the SSC (Class 10) or HSC (Class 12) board examinations conducted during the current academic year to be eligible under this scheme.
5. There is no annual income limit to avail the benefits of this scheme.
