The “Scheme for Rearing Purebreed Gir/ Kankarage Male Cow Calves with Excellent Genetic Quality” was launched by the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare & Co-operation, Government of Gujarat to encourage the rearing of Gir and Kankrej male cow calves of superior genetic quality.
