The “Ramie Crop Scheme” is a State Plan Scheme, which is implemented by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of Meghalaya. The objective of the scheme is to encourage the cultivation of perennial and remunerative textile crops such as Ramie in suitable areas by providing necessary inputs and training.
Benefits
• To provide planting materials, degumming, and decorticating machines to the farmers.
• Quality planting materials, organic manure, bio-pesticides at subsidised rate and farmers' training.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should be a resident of Meghalaya.
2. The applicant should be a bonafide farmer engaged in agriculture.
