Description
The scheme "Pre-Matric Scholarship for the Students of Socially and Educationally Backward Class" by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to provide financial assistance to promote education among socially and educationally backwards students. Through this scheme, scholarships per annum are provided to boys and girls studying in Standards 1 to 10 in government and aided schools. The scheme is implemented by the Director, Developing Caste Welfare, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Benefits
• For Boys (Std. 1 to 8): ₹750/- scholarship.
• For Boys (Std. 9 to 10): ₹1000/- scholarship.
• For Girls (Std. 1 to 5): ₹500/- scholarship.
• For Girls (Std. 6 to 10): ₹1000/- scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should belong to the Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC).
2. The applicant should be studying in Standard 1 to 10.
3. The applicant should be enrolled in a Government or Aided Primary/Secondary School.
4. For applicants studying in Standard 1 to 8, there is no family income limit.
5. For applicants studying in Standard 9 to 10, the annual family income of the applicant’s family should not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.
