The "Pre-Matric Scholarship for the Students of Economically Backward Class" was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. Under this scheme, monetary scholarships are provided to boys and girls studying in government and aided primary schools from Standard 1st to 10th, based on class and gender.
Benefits
• Boys (Std. 1st to 8th): ₹750/- per annum.
• Boys (Std. 9th to 10th): ₹1,000/- per annum.
• Girls (Std. 1st to 5th): ₹500/- per annum.
• Girls (Std. 6th to 10th): ₹1,000/- per annum.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be studying in a government or aided primary/secondary school in Gujarat.
2. The applicant must belong to an Economically Backward Class (EBC).
3. The applicant must be studying in classes 1st to 10th.1. There is no income limit for students of classes 1st to 10th.1. The applicant’s annual family income must not exceed ₹6,00,000/- for classes 9th to 10th.
