Description
The scheme "Pre-Matric & Post-Matric Scholarship" was launched by the Tea Tribes Welfare Department, Government of Assam. The scheme aims to provide stipend to Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship to the students belonging to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community for the benefit of poor students. The scheme is also intended to provide financial assistance to students of the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community pursuing their studies at the post-matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education. The applications for this scheme are accepted through the SIRISH-Online Application Portal.

Exclusions
• The scholarships are not available for identified Higher Studies courses and Vocational 3 (three) years Degree Courses or equivalent.
• The scholarship holder shall not hold any other scholarship or stipend disbursed by any Government Department.
• Students applying repeatedly from different Sub-Divisions shall in no case be considered for the scholarships.
• Students who are undergoing coaching in any of the pre-examination training centers with financial assistance from the Government will not be eligible.
• In case of detained students, he or she shall not be eligible to apply for scholarship for the same class twice.
• The applicant eligible for the "Post-Matric Scholarship" will not be eligible for other schemes except for the scheme "Simon Sing Horo (Special Post-Matric) Scholarship," if eligible, in the same year.
