Launched in 1976-77, the "Post Matric College Scholarship" is a scheme by the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme provides financial assistance to encourage Scheduled Caste students to pursue higher education. One-third of the subsistence allowance is payable to students residing in departmental hostels who are provided free lodging and boarding facilities.

Exclusions
• Non-Govt Institutions: Students whose parents' income exceeds ₹2.50 lakh are not eligible for the subsistence allowance.
• Govt Institutions: Students with an income above ₹2.50 lakh are not eligible for the subsistence allowance but are eligible for full fee reimbursement.
• Sambal Yojana Families: Students from Sambal Yojana families do not have to pay fees at government schools and are not eligible for fee reimbursement.
