Description
The scheme “Post-Harvest Management” is implemented by the Department of Horticulture, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote the development of modern post-harvest infrastructure by supporting farmers and entrepreneurs in setting up facilities such as pack houses, pre-cooling units, cold rooms, cold storage units, and ripening chambers, thereby reducing post-harvest losses and improving the quality, value, and marketability of horticultural produce.

• For setting up units such as Pack Houses (9 m / 6 m), Pre-Cooling Units (6 MT capacity), Mobile Pre-Cooling Units (5 MT capacity), Cold Rooms (30 MT capacity), Cold Storage Units, Refer Vans/Containers (6 MT capacity), and Ripening Chambers (300 MT capacity), a subsidy of 35% to 50% is provided through a bank-linked, loan-based subsidy mechanism.
