Description
The scheme "Pradhan Mantri Matasya Sampada Yojana: Construction of New Ponds for Saline/Alkaline Areas" by the Department of Fisheries, Government of Haryana, aims to expand fisheries in various urban and semi-urban areas. Through this scheme, subsidies for the construction of new ponds and central financial assistance for the initial fish crop on newly constructed ponds are provided to beneficiaries. The scheme considers ponds with a long duration and a registered lease period of at least 7 years for grants.

Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant should have a Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).
2. The construction of new ponds subsidy will be provided by the state government for the expansion of fisheries in various urban/semi-urban areas only under the construction of new ponds under the Pradhan Mantri Matasya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) scheme.
3. Only central financial assistance will be provided to the beneficiaries for the initial fish crop only on the fertiliser of newly constructed ponds.
4. Central financial assistance on the construction of new ponds will be provided only on ponds prepared for fisheries.
5. Under this scheme, ponds whose pond duration will be for a long time, and the registered lease period will be at least 7 years, will be considered for a grant on those ponds.
