The Madhya Pradesh government has launched a nationwide Artificial Insemination AI programme to improve the reproductive health of livestock and enhance the productivity of livestock. The programme is being implemented with the help of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, the Government of India and the National Dairy Development Board. Through this programme, AI technicians will be trained at the district level and AI services will be provided to the farmers. The programme will focus on the use of quality semen and improved scientific techniques for better reproductive performance. The programme also aims to reduce the cost of artificial insemination for the farmers. The programme is expected to help the farmers to improve their income and the overall economic condition of the state
