Description
The scheme “Mushroom Production” is implemented by the Department of Horticulture, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote and support mushroom cultivation in the state by providing financial assistance and subsidies for establishing mushroom, compost, and spawn production units, thereby enhancing both farmer income and overall mushroom production in Uttarakhand.

• Under the scheme:
• To promote mushroom production, a 40% subsidy is provided to the individual sector (farmers or persons interested in mushroom cultivation).
• For setting up a mushroom production unit, a 40% subsidy is provided, up to a maximum of ₹20,00,000/- per unit.
• For setting up a compost production unit, a 40% subsidy is provided, up to a maximum of ₹20,00,000/- per unit.
• For setting up a spawn production unit, a 40% subsidy is provided, up to a maximum of ₹15,00,000/- per unit.
• For the public sector (government departments, institutions, agricultural/industrial universities, etc.), 100% subsidy is provided on the total cost.

3. The farmer must either own land or have land on lease.
4. Each farmer is eligible for assistance for only one unit.
