The "International Centre for Environment Audit and Sustainable Development (iCED)" scheme provides a platform to young students pursuing courses in Ocean Science, Environmental Science, Environment Management, Environment Audit, etc. to help develop awareness about the work of iCED with special.

Description
The "International Centre for Environment Audit and Sustainable Development iCED " was launched by the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, and the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. The iCED Internship Scheme offers a unique opportunity for students specializing in Ocean Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environment Audit, Environmental Economics, Environmental Law, Public Administration, Public Policy, Sustainable Development, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Architecture, Human Resource Management, Disaster Management, and related fields. This internship will focus on developing awareness about iCED’s work, with a particular emphasis on Blue Economy, Climate Change, and gender-related themes. Duration: The internship duration would be 2 months, which may be extended up to 6 months. Number of interns: Two interns from one Institution/University would be selected for internship.

Benefits
• Interns will receive a token remuneration of ₹10,000/- per month to cover conveyance and daily needs.
• NOTE: If boarding and lodging are provided by iCED the remuneration will be reduced to ₹5000/- per month.
• Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of the internship, assignment submission, and evaluation by the competent authority at iCED.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicant must be an Indian national.
2. Applicant must be a Graduate or pursuing Post Graduate/Doctoral courses in one of the following fields

18. Applicant must be studying at a University/Institution of National or International repute.
19. Those awarded “Junior Research Fellowship” by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for research in these subjects will be given preference.
20. If there are more applications than required, the screening of applicants will be done using an appropriate methodology.

Students must share their work and collected materials with iCED in a logically classified manner, including a paper on how iCED/IAAD can use the material. Due to the mentoring provided, intellectual property rights will rest with IA&AD.
A Screening Committee, nominated by the DG, iCED, will scrutinize all applications. Final selection will be made by a Committee of Senior Officers, including the DG, iCED.

Q: What is the application process for the internship?
A: Prepare the required documents, fill out the application form, and submit it to the specified address/email. The applications will be screened and selected by a committee.

Q: What tasks will the interns be expected to perform?
A: Interns will assist in ongoing research activities, compile research-related inputs/analyses, assist faculty, develop content, update/modify/analyse databases, and prepare audit guidelines and objectives.

Q: What happens if the internship tenure is terminated early?
A: The tenure may be curtailed/ended if the competent authority deems the intern's association not in the interest of iCED/IA&AD. The decision of the Director General, iCED, will be final.

Q: Can the internship lead to a job offer?
A: The internship does not guarantee a job offer or assurance of a job with iCED or any office under the CAG of India.

Q: What should be included in the research proposal?
A: The research proposal should contain the research plan, methodology to be followed, and timelines.

Q: How will the work of the interns be monitored?
A: Weekly reviews will be conducted by Director (T&R), and the progress will be monitored by the Director General and Director (T&R), iCED.

Q: What are the confidentiality requirements?
A: Interns must submit a declaration to respect and maintain confidentiality regarding the issues/information of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India and iCED.

Q: Who will mentor the interns?
A: Interns will be mentored and monitored by the Director General and Director (T&R), iCED.

Q: What should the intern’s weekly report contain?
A: The weekly report should detail the progress of work, tasks completed, and any challenges faced. It will be reviewed by Director (T&R).
