Description
The scheme "Haryana State Meritorious Incentive Scheme" by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Haryana aims to support meritorious students studying in government colleges by providing them with financial incentives. Monetary rewards are granted to students who secure top positions in annual university examinations across Arts, Commerce, Science Medical and Non-Medical , and Education streams.

Eligibility Criteria
1. This scheme will be college-specific and three meritorious students in each stream who stood first, second and third in the annual university examination will be given this incentive.
2. The award will be given only to students pursuing general courses in the Government Colleges.
3. Candidates from Non-Government Colleges and those who pursue their studies through correspondence courses/open universities will not be eligible for the award.

5. - The merit list will be prepared separately for the Boys (General Category), Girls (General Category) and Scheduled Caste students (Combined list of girls and boys).
6. - If Scheduled Caste students qualify for the general list, his/her name will be considered in the general list and an extra award will be given (on a merit basis only) to the students of the Scheduled Caste category.
7. - The award holder under this scheme will hold any other scholarship/stipend from the State Government or any other source.

*Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) is mandatory for availing of any Scholarship benefit. Students are advised to ensure their all particulars such as Name, DOB, Aadhar No. etc are fully updated in PPP before applying for any scholarship scheme.
