Description
The “Grant Scheme for Cultivation of Aromatic Plants” scheme is implemented by the Centre for Aromatic Plants CAP , Selaqui, Dehradun, under the Department of Horticulture, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote the cultivation and expansion of aromatic plant species across the state by providing financial assistance to farmers.

• Under this scheme, the maximum grant limit for any individual farmer shall be ₹1.00 lakh or the grant amount admissible for the cultivation of up to 2 hectares of land (based on the survival rate of plants), whichever is less.
• The grant is provided for the cultivation of nine selected aromatic crops, namely aromatic grasses (lemongrass, citronella, palmarosa, khus, etc.), damask rose, mint (except Japanese mint), geranium, black cumin, rosemary, bay leaf, timur, and sandalwood, undertaken by the farmer at his or her own expense.
