In order to give financial support to the aggrieved family members of the ill-fated farmers the State Govt. has provided accident claim cover through Gopinath Munde Shetkari Apghat Suraksha Sanugrah Audhan Yojana in the year 2023-24.

Details

Description
1. Farmers are prone to various accidents while performing farming business. Due to death/ disability of earning head of family the family members of farmers have to face critical financial situation. 1. The said scheme will be applicable for 24 hours of every day during the prescribed period. 1. Farmers who are registered account holders and any 1 member of farmer& 39;s family who is not registered as registered account holder shall remain eligible for benefits under the scheme even if any of these persons suffer an accident or disability. 1. There is no relevance of this scheme to any other such scheme which is implemented by any other institution or individual farmers. The benefit of this scheme is completely independent. 1. To get the benefit of this scheme there is no need to submit any other documents than prescribed in the Government Resolution G.R. .

• 1) Natural death
• 2) Pre-existing physical or mental defeats, infections
• 3) Suicide or attempt of suicide Self-inflicted injury
• 4) Activity out of any breach of law or Misfeasance
• 5)Under influence of alcohol
• 6) Mental disability
• 7) Bleeding from inner organ
• 8) Motor rallies
• 9) War including civil war
• 10) Service in arm forces
• 11) Murder by immediate beneficiary.

Benefits
• The benefits in the form of compensation provided:
• I)Death - Rs. 2 lakhs
• II) Disablement - Rs. 1 lakh /- or 2 lakhs
• a) Loss of one limb or one Eye - Rs. 1 Lakhs
• b) Loss of two limbs or two Eyes- Rs. 2 lakhs
• c) Loss of one limb and one Eye - Rs. 2 lakhs

1. 1) Registered farmer in the age group of 10 -75 years.
2. 2) Person registered as farmer in Maharashtra as evidenced by 7/12 extract.
3. 3) All 1.52 crore farmers of the state and one family member from their family.

Q: Give brief information about what documents are required to be submitted along with the proposal by the farmer or the heir to submit the claim proposal?
A: 1. The original 7/12 containing his name as a farmer,
2. Village sample no. Extract of 6 C means the inheritance record approved as per the records of the village laborer Talathi as the heir of the farmers,
3. Excerpt of Village Sample No. 6-D i.e. record of alteration from which the name of the accident victim appears on 7/12.
4. Document of birth date for age proof
5. Death certificate in case of death
6. In case of disability, attested copy of medical certificate of permanent disability issued by Medical Officer or District Surgeon must be submitted.

A: Farmers should contact the nearest Agriculture Supervisor of Agriculture Department or Taluka Agriculture Officer of their Taluka or District Superintendent Agriculture Officer office of their taluka.

Q: What care should be taken by the farmers while submitting the claim proposal ?
A: 1) As soon as the accident occurs, the farmer intimate the nearest agriculture office about the accident
2) Concern accident farmer / heir of the farmer should submit complete claim proposal with all the prescribed documents to the concerned Taluka Agriculture Officer within 30 days.

Q: What an arrangement any dispute arises approval of claims proposal, to resolve it ?
A: District Level District Appellate Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Hon.District Collector.
