The scheme “Establishment of Vermicompost Units” is implemented by the Department of Horticulture, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote sustainable agriculture and organic farming by providing financial assistance for setting up vermicompost units to farmers and women self-help groups.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
2. The applicant must be a farmer and must hold a valid Udhyan Card.
3. The applicant must have either their own land or land on lease.
4. All women members of self-help groups are also eligible to avail benefits under the scheme.
