Description
The scheme “Establishment of Broiler Farms” was introduced by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote commercial broiler rearing by providing financial assistance in the form of subsidies for poultry rearing and infrastructure development, thereby enhancing income generation and employment opportunities, especially for women and self-help groups SHGs .

• A subsidy of ₹15/- per bird is provided for 6 batches, amounting to a total subsidy of ₹45,000/- per beneficiary.
• An additional grant of ₹15,000/- per beneficiary is provided for fence construction, making the total subsidy ₹60,000/- per beneficiary.
• With a minimum of 500 broiler birds, the total unit cost is approximately ₹3.05 lakh.
