The scheme “Establishment and Operation of STEM Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics Laboratories” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre USERC under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to establish STEM laboratories in schools across Uttarakhand to provide students of classes 6 to 12 with hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics learning opportunities and strengthen their practical understanding of scientific concepts.
Benefits
• Under this, 41 STEM laboratories have been established across the state to strengthen practical science education for secondary and higher secondary level students and to provide hands-on learning activities for students of classes 6 to 12, enabling them to conduct science-related experiments in these labs.

1. Students must be studying in classes 6 to degree level in a school in Uttarakhand.
2. Students from schools with a STEM laboratory, as well as those from nearby schools, are eligible to use the STEM laboratories.
