Overview
The DULARI Scheme was implemented by the Directorate of Health Services in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to provide incentives for newborn baby girls and to the girl children who pass Classes VIII, X, and XII.
Details
The “Dulari Scheme” was launched by the Health Department, Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 26th January, 2013 to give incentives to newborn baby girls and girl children on passing VIII, X & XII standards. As per the present scheme, the girl child born on or after 26.01.2013 will be eligible to get the benefit under the scheme for birth incentives and the girl children who are below 13 years of age not registered under the Planned family scheme old scheme will also get the benefit of this scheme.
Exclusions
• The applicant or her parents provide false or concealed information.
• The girl gets married before attaining 21 years of age.
• The girl drops out of school (as further education-based incentives will not be granted).
• In case of the girl’s death before reaching the eligible disbursal age, the Directorate of Health Services may permit premature closure of the deposit, and the applicable amount may be released to the parents.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Andaman &amp; Nicobar Islands.
2. The applicant must be a woman or a girl child to avail benefits under the scheme.
3. The applicant must be born on or after 01.10.2013 to receive full benefits.
4. Girl children between 0–13 years, born before 01.10.2013 and not covered under the Planned Family Scheme, should be eligible only for educational incentives after passing Class VIII.
