The "Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana" scheme was launched by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Exclusions
• The applicant must not be a defaulter to any bank.
• Mixing of milch cattle types (indigenous, crossbred, buffalo) within a single unit is not permitted.
Benefits
• Financial assistance for the construction of cattle sheds, the purchase of high-yielding milch cattle, cattle insurance, and transportation costs.
• Each unit consists of 25 cattle (either all crossbred cows, indigenous cows, or buffaloes of similar breeds).
• A beneficiary can avail up to 8 units (200 cattle) depending on landholding and repayment record.
• Loan amount ranges from ₹36,00,000 (for indigenous breed units) to ₹42,00,000 (for crossbred cows/buffalo units).
• The scheme ensures insurance coverage for cattle, sheds, and transit risks.

Eligibility Criteria

4. - The applicant belongs to all categories: SC, ST, and others are eligible to apply.
5. - The applicant must possess a minimum of 3.5 acres of agricultural land per unit (25 cattle).
6. - The applicant can apply for up to 8 units, with land requirement increasing proportionately.
7. - The applicant’s family’s collective landholding can be considered; in such cases, there will be co-borrowers.
