Description
The scheme “Dairy Equipment Scheme” was launched by the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to assist farmers in procuring dairy equipment, reduce manual labour, and give a boost to the dairy industry. It addresses the practical difficulties faced by dairy farmers in purchasing essential equipment and aims to mechanise dairy operations. The scheme provides financial assistance in the form of a subsidy of 75% of the permissible cost for purchasing new dairy equipment, subject to a maximum limit. The applications are accepted offline through local Veterinary Officers or Assistant Directors.

Eligibility Criteria
1. - The applicant must be a farmer owning dairy milch animals.
2. - The applicant must be a bona fide resident of Goa for at least the preceding 5 years.
3. - The applicant must own cattle shed with milch animals within the State of Goa.
4. - The applicant must not have claimed subsidy for the same items under any other scheme.
5. - The applicant must obtain prior approval from the Directorate before purchasing the equipment.
6. - The applicant must purchase only new equipment from authorised registered dealers located in Goa offering after-sales services.
7. **Eligible Equipment:** Generator Set, Chaff Cutter, Animal Shed Washer, Spray Pump, Dehorner, Hoof Trimmer, Hoof Trimming Knife Set, Milking Machine (Single or Double Cluster), Cluster Can Assembly, Calf Nipple Bucket, Treatment Crate, Milk Cans, Nylon Ropes, Fans for Cow Shed, Pvc Pipeline for Dung Disposal, Wheelbarrow, Water Storage Tank, Sickles, Pickaxe, Gamelas, Rubber Mats, Wall-mounted or Pedestal Industrial Fans.
