Description
The scheme “Bhesaj Krishi Vikas Yojana” is implemented by the Bhesaj Vikas Ikai, Uttarakhand, under the Department of Horticulture, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to promote the cultivation of medicinal and herbal plants Jadi-Buti among local farmers and unemployed youth, providing sustainable employment and improving their economic well-being.

Benefits
• From the cultivation of medicinal plants, the following estimated profits can be earned:
• Kuth species: ₹1,000/- per nali per year
• Kutki species: ₹660/- per nali per year
• Big Cardamom species: ₹1,120/- per nali per year (from the fourth year onwards)
• Sarpagandha species: ₹1,200/- per nali per year
• Tejpata species: ₹1,200/- per nali per year (after ten years)
• This cultivation provides additional employment to farmers and strengthens their economic condition.

2. The applicant must be unemployed.
3. The applicant must have at least five Nali of land available.
4. The applicant must have an Aadhaar card.
