Description
The scheme "Assistance Towards Sugarcane Supplied By The Sugarcane Growers" was launched by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to assist the Sugarcane Growers to take up sugarcane cultivation in Goa. The scheme provides financial assistance based on the actual tonnage of canes weighed at the Sugar factory weighbridge, determined by the Fair & Remunerative Price FRP fixed by the National Federation of Co-operative Sugar Factories Limited, New Delhi. The applicant must be a farmer cultivating sugarcane in the State of Goa, possess a valid Krishi Card, and bear the cost of harvesting and transporting the harvested cane to Sanjivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana, Dayanandnagar Dharbandora. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Agriculture. The applications for this scheme are accepted via registration through Sanjivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana SSSKL .

Benefits
• Financial assistance is provided based on the Fair & Remunerative Price (FRP) fixed by the National Federation of Co-operative Sugar Factories Limited, New Delhi, from time to time.
• Farmers will be paid based on the actual tonnage of canes weighed at the Sugar factory weighbridge.
• The farmers must harvest and supply the sugarcane on their own to Sanjivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana (SSSKL).

5. - The applicant must be issued an area certificate following verification of the sugarcane area.
6. - The applicant must be present for the inspection of the harvested cane by the Fieldman of Sanjivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana (SSSKL) or any representative of the Agriculture Department.

The Zonal Agricultural Officer shall verify the submitted details and forward the list with a recommendation to the respective District Agricultural Office.

Step 5: Step 5: Verification And Sanction Order Issuance

The District Agricultural Officer shall verify the claims received and issue the Sanction Order after completing the verification process.
The financial assistance shall be drawn and disbursed to the farmers by the respective Zonal Agricultural Officer, based on the Sanction Order issued by the respective District Agricultural Officer.
