• Project Associate-II: M.Tech./ M.Pharm. or Master's degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least two (2) years of post-qualification research experience.
• Senior Project Associate: Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least four (4) years’ of post-qualification experience in Microbiology.
• Principal Project Associate: Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least eight (8) years’ of post-qualification experience in the field of Microbiology. OR Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences or equivalent degree from a recognized university, with at least four (4) years’ of post-qualification experience in the field of Microbiology.

• Project Associate-II: 35 years
• Senior Project Associate: 40 years
• Principal Project Associate: 40 years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD (UR:10 years, OBC:13 years, SC/ST:15 years), Central Government servants: 5 years, Ex-servicemen: extent of service + 3 years, Institute employees: extent of service.
