Important

Figures on this page reflect pay wording stored with individual listings in our database—not a consolidated pay commission table. Actual emoluments depend on grade, city, allowances, and deductions. Always read the official notification and rules linked from each job.

How to use this guide

  • Midpoint banding keeps each posting in a single band even when notifications show a pay range (for example, minimum and maximum of a pay cell).
  • Stipends and contract roles may appear in lower bands; senior posts and specialised cadres may appear in higher bands.
  • Missing counts mean we could not extract reliable monthly INR figures from the text stored for that listing— the job may still be visible on the main Sarkari Naukri hub.

Frequently asked questions

What do these salary bands mean on DeshSeva?
We group each active listing into an INR band using the midpoint of monthly amounts parsed from the pay text stored for that posting. This helps you browse roles in a similar gross range; it is not an official pay commission table.
How is the midpoint calculated?
When both a lower and upper monthly bound are present, we use half of their sum (integer midpoint). Your band is the range that contains that midpoint. Parsing may fail for non-standard wording.
Why do some listings have no salary band?
About 20,715 active listings do not include pay text we could standardise into monthly INR bounds, so those postings are excluded from band counts and charts.
How many listings are reflected here?
DeshSeva currently shows 23,274 active government job postings in Sarkari Naukri. 2,559 of them include pay text we mapped into monthly INR bounds for these bands.
