• Trainee Project Executive - Computer/IT: Full time Regular B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) (4 Years) in Computer/IT from a recognized University/Institute. Grouping includes: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Technology
• Lateral Entry to 3rd Semester of 8 Semester course/2nd year of 4 years course will also be considered as equivalent qualification
• Post graduate integrated Degree Courses will also be allowed for Engineering disciplines in Technical posts. The integrated Professional Technical qualification should be of 5 years duration after 10+2 qualification

Essential Qualifications

• Full time Regular Engineering degree (B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering) of 4 years duration from recognized University/Institute is mandatory
• The degree must be in the specific discipline as per the post applied for
• Candidates whose names are sponsored by Local Employment Exchange should possess minimum 1 year relevant experience or one year Graduate Apprenticeship training as on 31/12/2025
• Apprenticeship in any industry shall also be considered as experience for this advertisement
• Only Post Qualification Experience will be considered
• Candidates from reserved category will have to submit caste certificate in the Prescribed Proforma meant for "Appointment to posts under the Government of India" from the designated authority
• The OBC (NCL) certificate should not be more than 06 months old at the time of joining
• Candidates under PwBD category will have to submit the disability certificate from the designated authority as stipulated in Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 indicating clearly the percentage of disability
• Candidates from EWS category will have to submit the EWS certificate from the designated authority

Experience

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience as on 31/12/2025 for candidates sponsored by Local Employment Exchange
• One year Graduate Apprenticeship training is also acceptable as experience
• Apprenticeship in any industry shall be considered as experience for this advertisement
• Only Post Qualification Experience will be considered for eligibility
• Experience should be relevant to the discipline/post applied for

Desirable

• Experience in shipbuilding, ship repairing or engineering industry would be preferred
• Graduate Apprenticeship or Advance Trainee experience in GSL will be given age relaxation
• Knowledge of naval ship construction and marine engineering systems would be an advantage

Salary/Stipend

• 1st Year: INR 35,000/- per month (Consolidated)
• 2nd Year: INR 38,000/- per month (Consolidated)
• 3rd Year (Extended Tenure): INR 40,000/- per month (Consolidated)
• 70% of the consolidated pay will be considered as Basic pay for calculation of statutory benefits as applicable like PF, Gratuity etc.
• The contract is initially for a period of 02 years and may further be extended for maximum up to 1 year depending upon the requirement of the organisation and the performance of the individual
• This is NOT against a regular post, but on contract basis only
• The contract will stand automatically terminated at the end of the period, unless intimated otherwise in writing
• GSL does not provide any assurance for regular employment on completion of contract tenure
• Statutory benefits like PF, Gratuity will be calculated on 70% of consolidated pay which is considered as Basic pay

Age Limit (as on 31/12/2025)

• For UR/EWS Category: Maximum 28 years as on 31/12/2025
• For OBC Category: Maximum 31 years as on 31/12/2025
• For SC/ST Category: Maximum 33 years as on 31/12/2025
• Age Relaxation for PwBD Candidates: As per Government of India guidelines
• Age Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen/Agniveers: As per existing Government guidelines
• Age Relaxation for GSL Graduate Apprentices/Advance Trainees: Candidates who have completed Graduate Apprentices or Advance trainee in GSL will be provided age relaxation up to the number of years as Apprentice/Advance trainee in GSL
• Upper age limit and experience will be considered as on 31/12/2025

Application Fee

• General/OBC/EWS Candidates: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) - Non-Refundable
• SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen Candidates: Exempted from payment of application fee as per Government of India rules
• GSL Graduate Apprentices/GSL Advance Trainees (Present or Past): No fee required to be paid
• Application fee to be submitted in the form of Demand Draft in favor of "Goa Shipyard Limited" payable at Vasco-da-Gama, Goa per application
• Application without prescribed fees shall be liable for rejection
• Application fee is non-refundable; therefore candidates are requested to verify their eligibility thoroughly before making any payment
• The candidature of applicants submitting fee of lesser amount or depositing fee through any other mode other than the prescribed method, will be rejected
• The application fee paid by the ineligible candidates shall be forfeited and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard
• Candidates applying for more than one post have to submit separate applications along with the prescribed application fee for each post

Important Dates

Selection Process

• The selection process will consist of Written Test, Document Verification, Group Discussion/Interview
• Stage 1 - Written Test: The Written Test will normally consist of 25% General Aptitude and 75% subject/trade related questions. Candidates need to secure minimum 40% marks for General/EWS category and 35% marks for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC category to qualify for the subsequent stage of selection. The written test may be conducted through Computer based Test (CBT) or Pen Paper based Test (PBT)
• Stage 2 - Document Verification: A category-wise list will be drawn of the candidates who qualify the written test. In case of large response, candidates in the ratio of 1:5 based on the performance in the written test shall be called for the Document Verification followed by Group Discussion/Interview. These candidates shall produce all the relevant documents in original at the time of Document Verification
• Candidature of a candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process or after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement
• Stage 3 - Group Discussion/Interview: The candidates, who clear the Document Verification round, shall only be eligible for the Group Discussion/Interview. Candidates need to secure minimum 40% marks for General/EWS and 35% marks for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC to qualify
• Final Grading: On completion of written test, group discussion/Interview, the weightage of final grading marks will be: Written Test - 85%, Group Discussion/Interview - 15%, Total - 100%
• Call letters for selection process will be sent only through E-mail to shortlisted candidates' registered Email ID which should be valid and operative

General Information/Instructions

• Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is a Schedule 'B' Mini Ratna Category I Company (A Government of India Undertaking - Ministry of Defence) and ISO 9001-2008 Certified Company
• GSL is engaged in designing and building Ships for Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard at Vaddem, Vasco-da-Gama, Goa
• The vacancies advertised will be filled through the candidates sponsored from Local Employment Exchange (Stage-I). Any further, unfilled vacancies will be filled through open advertisement (Stage-II)
• Posts are purely on contract basis, initially for a period of 02 years. It may further be extended for maximum up to 1 year depending upon the requirement of the organisation and the performance of the individual
• It is NOT against a regular post, but on contract basis only. The contract will stand automatically terminated at the end of the period, unless intimated otherwise in writing
• GSL does not provide any assurance for regular employment on completion of contract tenure
• Candidates from reserved category fulfilling eligibility criteria may also apply for the posts earmarked for UR as per Government Rules. Such candidates applying for a post where there are no vacancies in their respective reserved categories will be treated as General candidates and no relaxation in any criteria will be applicable to these candidates
• If the SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD certificate has been issued in a language other than English/Hindi, the candidates will be required to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same either in English or Hindi
• GSL reserves the right to verify the genuineness of the certificate and in case it is found to be false penal action will be taken against such candidates as per rules of GSL and Government guidelines as applicable
• Concessions and relaxations will be granted to PwBD candidates applying against the said posts. Their candidature will be considered as per Government guidelines in vogue
• The disability condition falling under the category "Likely to improve" under temporary disability category are not eligible for reservation. Further the condition i.e. "progressive, non-progressive or not likely to improve" will be treated eligible for reservation
• Candidates are advised to make sure that they are meeting the eligibility requirements as per the vacancy notification for the posts before submitting the applications
• Mere fulfilment of qualifications and other requirements as applicable for the respective post does not entitle a candidate to be called for selection process
• Management reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post/s and also to fill up future vacancies, if any, from the valid panel of selected candidates as per the rules of the company
