Eligibility Criteria

• Ph.D. degree holders within three years of the award of the Ph.D. degree, or those who have submitted a Ph.D. thesis.
• Applicants about to submit their thesis are also eligible, subject to submission before award expiry.
• Research publications in high-impact-factor SCI journals.
• Open to Indian nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and up to 20 foreign nationals.

Salary/Stipend

• Fellowship: Rs. 55,000/- per month for awardees.
• Rs. 35,000/- per month for candidates with thesis submitted but not yet awarded.
• Research Grant: Rs. 2,00,000/- per annum.
• Overheads: Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum.

Age Limit (as on 01-27-2026)

• Maximum Age: 35 years as on 27 Jan 2026.
• Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Disabled & Women; 3 years for OBC Non-Creamy Layer.
