Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have been awarded a Ph.D. degree within the last three (03) years from the date of advertisement.
• Specialization: Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics / Atmospheric Science / Meteorology or closely related disciplines.
• Desirable Skills: Experience of working in national and/or international research projects.
• Experience in atmospheric data analysis, climate variability, hydrometeorological extremes, cloud-precipitation processes, or related areas.
• Familiarity with reanalysis, satellite, and/or observational datasets, and proficiency in numerical and statistical analysis tools.

Salary/ Stipend

• Fellowship Amount: 240000 Japanese Yen per month
• The fellowship and associated benefits will be provided as per the India-Japan LOTUS Programme norms.

• This post-doctoral position is subject to the selection and acceptance of the candidate under the India-Japan Circulation of Talented Youths in Science (LOTUS) Programme.
• The appointment will be made only upon successful award of the LOTUS Programme fellowship.

The appointment will be made only upon successful award of the LOTUS Programme fellowship, and the fellowship amount will be governed by the norms of the LOTUS Programme / funding agency.
• Tenure: Initially for one (01) year, extendable based on performance, availability of funds, and continuation of the LOTUS Programme fellowship.
